Programs

Literacy Outreach

Through our vast network of Volunteers and Affiliates, we are able to provide reading, writing, editing, formatting, publication, and design workshops all across the United States. We have Volunteers covering every aspect of the writing and publication process to help assure that there will be quality literature produced for generations to come.

Little Free Library® Sponsorship

With the help of our Volunteers and Affiliates, we are sponsoring, installing, and stocking Little Free Libraries® across the country.

Workplace Literacy

With the help of our certified Partners, we have been able to implement remedial reading tutelage nationwide using ProLiteracy’s® New Readers Press programs and resources to better enable adults to enter the workforce with a literacy level best suited for their continued success.

Literacy Awards for Excellence

In an effort to promote significant, impactful literature for generations to come, we open submissions to this award program once per year. Our panel of judges will evaluate submissions based on many criteria including but not limited to: depth, range, and significance of the piece as well as the author’s ability to blend elements such as plot, theme, setting, character, and conflict in an efficient and compelling manner. Submissions for the 2019 awards will open November 1st, 2018. Winners will be announced at the 2019 Live Literately Literacy Summit on May 18th, 2019.

Live Literately Literacy Summit

Every year, to celebrate our anniversary, we host a fundraiser convention in Salt Lake City, Utah to draw public interest to our cause and to the publishing industry. Our Affiliates are invited to join us for this event where they will be offered a table to sign books and meet new readers as well as the opportunity to participate in panels covering a wide variety of literacy-related topics ranging from creation to critical evaluation and publication to marketing.

The first Summit is scheduled on May 18th, 2019 at the Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy, Utah.
